Sailor Jerry is a name that many from around the world will have heard of, however Norman Collins might not be. Well to enlighten you, Norman Collins is the man who created the Sailor Jerry Rum and inspired the images on the bottles.

When Norman Collins was a teenager he went on a voyage across country and was hitchhiking around USA until he reached Chicago where he met a man named Gib 'tatts' Thomas, who if you hadn't guessed was famed for his tattoo designs. Norman spent some time learning from Gib on tattoo design and how to do tatto's before he joined the navy.

Norman went travelling once more around the world before ending up in Honolulu where he found his passion again for tattoos and of course Rum. From here Norman created the Sailor Jerry Rum which we all know and love today!
