Benedictine first dates back to 1510 when in the Abbey of Fecamp, Normandy, France a Benedictine monk named Dom Bernado Vincelli created an elixir that in the 'not so distant' future would become famous!

Fast forward to the 'not so distant' future (over 350 years later) in 1863, Alexander Le Grand, a collector of religious art and merchant discovered this recipe and after many tireless attempts finally re-created the elixir! In tribute to the original this liqueur is produced and aged in Fecamp!
